Machine Description
The 2014 TRUMPF TruLaser Robot 5020 is a fully enclosed robotic laser welding cell designed for precision welding of complex three-dimensional components. The system combines a KUKA KR 30 HA High Accuracy six-axis robot with fiber-delivered TRUMPF TruDisk solid-state laser technology.
The system includes a KUKA DKP 400.1 turn-tilt positioner and a separate dual-station table, allowing components to be positioned for multi-axis welding. The rotating table is rated for 750 kg, while the side station is rated for 250 kg.
The BEO D70 welding optics feature motorized programmable focus adjustment. The TeachLine optical sensor and camera assist with seam location and compensate for workpiece or fixture variation. The cell also includes process-gas controls, filtration and exhaust, cooling equipment and a fully enclosed Class 1 safety system.
The machine has exceptionally low reported usage, with 1,143 laser-on hours and 339.82 robot hours.
